Itinerary

DAY 1
PORTO

Welcome to Porto

  • Arrive in Porto and transfer to your hotel. 
  • Guided sightseeing tour of Porto.
  • Welcome dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight in Porto
DAY 2
PINHAO / PORTO / RéGUA

PORTO - RÉGUA - PINHÃO – PORTO

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Discover the Douro region.
  • Then we will visit RÉGUA, the capital of the Douro region. Admire the green landscape of this region. Visit a local winery, followed by a wine tasting.
  • You’ll have lunch in a Quinta. After lunch, we will enjoy a Boat Tour on the Douro River (Pinhão-Tua-Pinhão, about 2 hours). After wine tasting, we will return to the hotel. 
  • Dinner and overnight in the Porto.
DAY 3
AVEIRO / FáTIMA / PORTO

PORTO – AVEIRO – FATIMA

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • We set out toward AVEIRO, called the Portuguese Venice with its systems canals and Moliceiros anchors, small and colored fishing boats with painted bow and sterns.
  • Stop at the train station to admire the stunning panel of glazed tiles that decorated the facade and illustrate Aveiro’s monuments and the entire region. 
  • We will take a short workshop on “Ovos Moles” making, a kind of wafer fitted by egg’s jam, a specialty in the city. Enjoy a mini-cruise on a “Moliceiro.”
  • Free time for Lunch.
  • Later we depart towards FATIMA. Visit the Sanctuary of Fatima, followed with time at leisure.
  • It is a special day in Fatima as it is the day hundreds of pilgrims will visit, and there will be festivities in town. Your guide will be able to assist you with identifying spots for enjoying the festivities.
  • Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
DAY 4
FáTIMA / LISBON / ÓBIDOS / SINTRA

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Enjoy a beautifully preserved and fortified town of ÓBIDOS, dating from the Middle Ages with its picturesque streets.
  • This medieval village is well known for its traditional Ginginha Portuguese liquor made by infusing berries in alcohol with a hint of chocolate while appreciating local artisan painting tiles.
  • Depart to the cliffs of CABO DA ROCA, the westernmost point of the European continent. 
  • Free time for Lunch.
  • Continue towards SINTRA, where you will discover mountain top medieval fortifications, vibrant fairytale castles, lush forests, and eccentric labyrinthine gardens, all in one location! It was for six centuries the favorite residence of the rulers and remains resort of large Lisbon families who have charming Quintas or elegant palaces there. 
  • Visit the Pena Palace. Do not miss Sintra’s delicious queijada, a delicious sweet cheese pastry.
  • Dinner and overnight in Lisbon.
DAY 5
LISBON

A day in Lisbon

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • This morning we invite you to discover LISBON, one of the oldest capitals of Europe. The city of seven hills seduces visitors with its charm, brightness, and warm welcome.
  • You will start by visiting the neighborhood of Belém, Treasure Island between the Tagus and the sounds of the city. It was from Belém that the caravels of the Discoveries departed. You will visit the church and the cloisters of the Hieronymite Monastery, the splendor of Manueline Art, and the outside of the Tower of Belém. During the visit, try the famous Pastel of Belém, a typical pastry of Lisbon.
  • Visit the Tile Museum, followed by a workshop on tile making.
  • Free time for Lunch.
  • In the afternoon, we will go to the typical neighborhood of Alfama, with its winding streets and flowered balconies. Climb to the Belvedere of Santa Luzia, where we have one of the most beautiful panoramas in Lisbon. We will then continue the visit of Rossio and the Praça do Comercio, downtown and business. Free time to walk and discover this bright city.
  • Leisure time for shopping.
  • Farewell dinner and overnight in Lisbon.

LISBON

Last day in Lisbon

  • After Breakfast, check out and transfer to the Lisbon Airport.
